Hi, my name is Obed Sullivan and I have recently joined the Oahu Club group fitness dept as the Athletic Performance Coach - this title fits me perfectly.
My credentials include....

  • Second Phase Pugal Sticks Champion
  • Marine Corps Security Force School
  • All Marine Corps Boxing Team - Heavyweight
  • Professional Heavyweight Boxer – 17 Championship Title Fights
  • International Boxing Federation (IBF) – Heavyweight Champion 1995-1998
  • North American Boxing Federation (NABF) - Heavyweight Champion
  • Culinary School – Scottsdale, AZ
  • Personal Athletic Performance Coach & Boxercise

Obed began his athletic journey at the age of 10. That passion translated into amateur participation in Baseball, Football, Basketball, Billiards, Bowling, and of course Boxing. Since achieving his dream of becoming a two time Heavyweight champion, Obed is ready to move into full-filling his longtime dream of becoming a teacher, mentor, and motivator to people of all ages and fitness levels.
As platoon and company guide in the Marines he developed important discipline, perseverance, integrity, bravery, & resiliency skills that have taken him through life and produced a champion. Obed hopes to transfer this knowledge into his athletic coaching career here at the Oahu Club.
He is interesting and easy to talk to, ask him about his appearance on the Jude Lacava Sports Show where he actually entertained him with his cooking skills.
